Debian: Debian Squeeze Server

hiho Leibe Debian Freunde ;)

ich habe ein problem mit meinen Debian Server

wenn ich versuche den Mysql-server zu installieren bekomme ich diesen Error:

ich habe betreits gegoogelt und bekomme es nicht hin .. bitte um hilfe

Hi,
such mal in der my.cnf den Eintrag skip-bdb und kommentiere den mal aus (# davor).
Dann nochmal versuchen.

hab ich auch schon gedacht .... den eintrag gibt es nicht ...


das einzige mit skip:

Ich hab gegoogelt und da sagen sie immer in den Log steht der fehler etc ... nur die Log ist leer ... laut googel ist sie ja unter /var/log/syslog nur diesen ordner gibt es nicht ... unt unter /var/log gibt es eine mysql.log und eine mysql.err nur beide sind leer ... hier mal meine my.cnf

Wenn ich diesen befehl ausführe bekomme ich ein Permissions denied. wenn ich das mit sudo mache bekomme ich nichts ...

Ja das ist richtig. Fast alle Logs in /var/log darf nur root bzw. ein Mitglied der Gruppe root oder adm lesen

Wenn du mit sudo keine Ausgabe von grep mysql /var/log/syslog bekommst, dann kommt einfach kein "mysql" in der syslog vor.

Probier mal

sudo grep -i "mysql" /var/log/syslog
