Raspberry Pi 4 might have WiFi problems at high screen resolutions

The new Raspberry Pi 4 seems to have problems with the WiFi, if a screen with a high resolution is connected via HDMI: The small computer even has two Micro-HDMI outputs in version 4, which can deliver a 4k image. If the Raspberry Pi is to be used as a media player on a high-definition TV, however, it is better to connect it via LAN cable: With the Pi 4 this is now also possible with Gigabit.
At higher HDMI resolutions, the video signal should interfere with the WiFi of the computer: This leads to a slower connection and lost data packets. Enrico Zini, a Debian developer, has done several tests with the Raspberry Pi 4: At a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels the WLAN problems should occur, Zini says in his blog. But resolutions smaller than 2048×1080 pixels (thus also HD and Full HD) don’t cause any problems: We could test this with two of our own Raspberrys.
Enrico Zini has tried different HDMI cables and power supplies: At least with the WQHD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels there should be problems with the WiFi. This topic in the Raspberry Pi Forum mentions further resolutions, however, with which the Raspberry Pi 4 should show WLAN problems: Some users should have problems with screens with more than Full HD.
